One of the best things about Sayulita is the wide array of delicious bites. Here are a few of our favs.
Av Revolución 36
There’s so much to love about Mary’s. The frozen limeade on a sweltering day, the enormous plate of fresh guacamole…but the Mary's Tacos con Camaron don’t mess around. Shrimp, roasted poblano peppers, melted cheese (optional), and fresh avocado. Doctor those bad boys up with an assortment of delightful salsas provided and you’re in business. Chile relleno and veggie burrito are amazing too!
Taco's de Ivan https://www.sayulitalife.com/tacoselivan
To be eaten after 10pm with a good buzz. Located in front of the butcher shop right before the bridge on the left. It’s a cart with some tables and chairs. There’s a big slab of pork on the vertical rotisserie, shawarma style. You tell them how many. The guy hacks off some pork into a taco and then with one elegant motion, hacks off a slice of the pineapple above it you didn’t even notice before, leans back and catches the pineapple in the tortilla. BOOM! Sprinkle some onions and cilantro on top. Viva Mexico Cabrones! At 12 pesos a pop (< $1) you’ll go back for thirds
Tierra Viva http://tierravivasayulita.com/
Juevos Rancheros or Chorizo Bowl? As long as they keep bringing those fresh squeezed Mimosas you can't go wrong at Tierra Viva! Big portions, great service. Check out the rooftop terrace for lunch or dinner too. Be sure to look for iguanas in the tree outside!
La Rustica https://www.sayulitalife.com/rustica
Better known for their wood-fire pizzas, Rustica serves up a killer brunch as well! Get the Eggs Benedict, yum! For lunch or dinner check out their salads and pizza. We love their Princesa Pizza with added Chorizo.
Best Fancy Dinner
Don Pedro's http://www.donpedros.com/
The nicest restaurant in town, open since 1994, it is situated right on the beach. Their food is delightful, and their margaritas are pretty fabulous. We love the octopus salad, lamb chops, bouillabaisse, and lobster ravioli. Be sure to get there in time for sunset.
Los Corazones https://www.sayulitalife.com/loscorazones
If you're looking for a nice shrimp or fish dish with mashies and veggies, look no further. Great vibe, lovely owners. Try their jalapeño margarita!
Sayulita Cafe https://www.sayulitalife.com/sayulita-cafe
Craving a Chile Relleno? Look no further. Sit on the balcony or out on the side walk. Chicken Fajitas are amazing too!
Las Sirenas Beach Club https://www.facebook.com/LasSirenasBeachClub/
North Side of the beach, North of Terrasola next to the Nirvanna Massage tent. Enjoy watching surfers from the lounge chairs while you taste their secret Margarita recipe!
El Patio https://www.discoversayulita.com/el-patio/
Cabana cuteness with beautiful artisan drinks and yummy tapas. Perfect happy hour spot for a small group. They have passionfruit margaritas, nuff said. They also have the best beach chair rental situation IMHO so post up and make a day of it!
Le Zouave https://www.facebook.com/leZouaveSayulita/
A cozy nook of a bar part of the Moroccan-inspired Hotel Hafa. Good vibes, great music, excellent margs. And a wine menu for your friends who don't dig on tequila.
Coffee On the Corner https://www.yelp.com/biz/coffee-on-the-corner-sayulita
Reliably great and delivered with a smile by Ricardo the owner. They serve breakfast too.
If you're jonesing for a Frappaccino try their Dirty Chai. Great healthy vegan menu options as well!
When You're Sick of Mexican
La Esperanza https://www.facebook.com/LaEsperanzaSayulita
A party in your mouth that leaves you feeling healthy and not in a food coma. Quinoa bowls with roasted beets and goat cheese, fabulous juices & smoothies, seared tuna...I die.
Mamma Mia's (Italian) https://www.sayulitalife.com/mammamia
Fresh made pasta and lots of options, sit on the sidewalk and enjoy a bottle of wine with a meal that isn't a taco.
Ruben's Deli http://www.rubens.com.mx/Rubens_Deli_Sayulita
Burgers, BLT's with avocado, potato salad, and of course...Ruben's.
